Atmospheric radiative transfer and remote sensing of atmospheric parameters (aerosols, clouds, and trace gases) from space-borne spectrometers and radiometers

Research Career:

C. Schlundt received the M.S. degree in geophysics from the Karl-Franzens-University, Institute for Geophysics, Astrophysics, and Meteorology, Graz, Austria, in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Institute of Theoretical Physics, Braunschweig, Germany, in 2008. The Ph.D. was funded by a Max Planck scholarship in the framework of "International Max Planck Research School on Physical Processes in the Solar System and Beyond at the Universities of Braunschweig and Goettingen". Her Ph.D. work was focussed on the investigation of the plasma environment of Venus using data of the ASPERA-4/VEX experiment as well as 3D hybrid code in order to study the solar wind - atmosphere interaction of an unmagnetized planet. From 2006 to 2008, she was a Ph.D. student at the Max Planck Institute of Solar System Research, Katlenburg-Lindau, Germany. In 2009 she joined the Institute of Environmental Physics and Remote Sensing, University of Bremen, Germany.
